Pakistan Trek Co-Founder and Harvard graduate Sobia Maqbool has started a movement to change Pakistan's international perception. Through Pakistan Trek, Sobia brings future policy makers from the world's top universities including Harvard, London Business School, and Cornell to experience Pakistan firsthand.

Sobia is a recipient of the U.S. Department of State’s Fulbright Scholarship to study Public Administration at Harvard University

Born in Kasur to a mother who had no formal education, Dr. Ali Nasir, a double Masters, and PhD from the U.S., gives a heartwarming talk about culture, family legacy, and his pursuit of an education!

Dr. Ali Nasir is a recipient of the U.S. Department of State and HEC Fulbright Scholarship Award to study Electrical Engineering at University of Michigan Ann Arbor.

She worked evening jobs to pay her way through her undergraduate degree in Karachi. She lived in a two-room apartment in Saddar shared between eight family members - often without electricity. Her mother slept on the bedroom floor so she and her siblings could sleep on the only bed in their home.

Kashaf Ud Duja is a recipient of the U.S. Department of State’s Fulbright Scholarship Award to study for a Master’s in Public Administration from Syracuse University.

Industrial Design specialist Ali Murtaza Arif applies design thinking to solve Punjab's chronic child vaccination outcomes. His fascinating talk takes us through every step of the design process he used to empower parents with no formal education or medical knowledge make critical lifesaving decisions for their children.

Ali Murtaza is a recipient of the U.S. Department of State’s Fulbright Scholarship Award to study for a Master’s in Industrial Design from Savannah College of Art and Design.

Saad Khalid is the founder of Plotree, a data visualization ITC. His work in information designing allows organizations and policy makers to identify the essential information they require to make critical policy decisions.

He is a recipient of the U.S. Department of State’s Fulbright Scholarship Award to study Economic and Political Development at Columbia University.

She's pioneering a new degree in Pakistan which pairs Economics with Data Science. Dr. Izza Aftab is a recipient of the U.S. Department of State’s Fulbright Scholarship Award to study for a PhD in Economics from The New School, USA.

He was addicted to heroin for the better part of his college years. His struggles with heroin left him broke, unemployed, and in severe need of intervention. His experience with drug use is not unique - this is now the story of so many young Pakistani teenagers and adults trapped in a vicious cycle.

Haider Ali Shishmahal went on to graduate with a Master’s in Human Development and Psychology from Harvard University on a U.S. Department of State Fulbright Scholarship Award.

He’s a psychotherapist who works with children and adults. His talk on mental health is based on his findings from over five thousand hours of therapy sessions he has conducted in Pakistan.

Omar Tauseef is a recipient of the U.S. Department of State’s Fulbright Scholarship Award to study for a Master’s in Mental Health Counselling from New York University, USA.

She’s the Founder of be. a producer of learning experiences which enable people from every walk of life to focus on self-care and contemplation through meditation. We all need it and in her talk she’s teaching us some of her meditation techniques.
